Meet Filip Janczak

Hi, I'm Filip Janczak, Head of Marketing at Popsy Clothing.

I am an award winning marketing and ecommerce professional with more than 10 years of experience across fashion, digital growth and commercial strategy.

I enjoy looking at how every part of marketing works together, from the first advert or search result through to the website experience, retention, technology and long term brand growth.

Good marketing is not about one channel or one campaign. It is about testing constantly, learning quickly and making every part of the customer journey work together.

My Journey in Fashion and Ecommerce

My career in fashion ecommerce began at Bluebella in 2015, where I joined as an Ecommerce Assistant.

Over the following seven years, I progressed through roles covering paid search, affiliate marketing, social media, SEO, analytics and digital strategy before becoming Marketing Manager.

During that time, I supported the brand's growth in the UK and internationally, including expansion across the United States, Europe and Australia. I was also part of the team behind a crowdfunding campaign that raised close to £1 million.

I received five marketing and ecommerce awards for work completed during my time at Bluebella. This was alongside the wider fashion awards and recognition achieved by the brand.

That experience shaped the way I approach growth today. Sustainable ecommerce growth rarely comes from one channel. It comes from understanding how brand, performance marketing, customer experience, technology, retention and data all work together.

My Role at Popsy

As Head of Marketing, I work across marketing strategy, ecommerce growth, customer acquisition, retention, analytics, SEO, paid media, PR and website development.

A large part of my role involves connecting different areas of the business, identifying opportunities and turning them into practical plans that can be tested, measured and improved.

What makes Popsy particularly interesting is the strength of its community. The goal is not simply to grow the business. It is to grow while protecting the personality, values and customer connection that make the brand special.

Testing, Strategy and AI

I believe in looking at marketing as a complete system rather than a collection of separate channels.

Whether it is a campaign, website change, new audience or customer journey, the aim is to test properly, learn from the results and use those insights to make better decisions across the wider business.

I also use AI engineering and automation to improve reporting, simplify workflows, connect systems and reduce repetitive work. Technology should help people make better decisions and create more time for customers, strategy and ideas.

Test, learn and improve, but always look at the full picture. The best marketing strategies connect brand, performance, technology and the customer experience.

Speaking and Teaching

I have spoken at marketing and ecommerce events across the UK, Europe and the United States, sharing practical experience in fashion, ecommerce growth, paid media and marketing strategy.

I focus on practical lessons, honest results and strategies that businesses and marketers can apply in the real world.

  • BrightonSEO in Brighton
  • Ecommerce Expo in London
  • State of Search in Grapevine, Texas, USA
  • SEMKRK in Poland
  • Eventus events in Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark
  • Guest lecturer at Middlesex University

Teaching at Middlesex University allows me to connect marketing theory with the decisions, challenges and results businesses face every day. I enjoy sharing experience with students and learning from their ideas and perspectives in return.

What I Love Most About Popsy

What I enjoy most about Popsy is the combination of creativity, community and commercial ambition.

There is always another opportunity to improve the customer experience, strengthen the brand or help the business grow. At the same time, every decision needs to respect the customers and community that have made Popsy what it is.

Seeing an idea move from an initial discussion into a strategy that delivers real results is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

Education, Background and Experience

I studied Media and Cultural Studies at Middlesex University before building my career in fashion, ecommerce and digital marketing.

I was born in Poland, but have spent more than half of my life living, studying and working in London. I now live in the Midlands and am proud to call it home.

My experience covers ecommerce growth, performance marketing, brand strategy, international expansion, analytics, customer retention, affiliate marketing, SEO, paid media, marketing technology, AI engineering and process automation.

Working across fashion brands, ecommerce businesses and international markets has given me a practical understanding of how strategy, technology, creative work and commercial goals need to work together.

I also co-founded  Creatos Media in 2018, where I have worked with fashion, ecommerce and international businesses across paid media, SEO, analytics, retention and digital strategy. That wider experience has helped shape the practical and commercial approach I bring to Popsy.

Along the way, I have been fortunate to meet and work with many talented, generous and inspiring people.

Every colleague, client, speaker, student and industry contact has taught me something and helped shape the marketer and person I am today. I am genuinely grateful to have met so many great people throughout my journey.

Good marketing combines creativity, data, testing and a clear understanding of the customer. The strongest strategies look at the full journey rather than treating each channel in isolation.
